Golden Ticket 2 was released by Play’n GO in 2020 as a sequel to the successful Golden Ticket slot that was launched two years earlier. Like its predecessor, this is a 5×5 grid slot themed after a circus from the 1920s with cascading symbols, ditching the conventional layout with paylines.

This is a highly volatile slot with a 96.5% RTP. Play’n GO have added two new features to boost the winning potential – a multiplier wilds feature in the base game and a Win Spin feature during the free spins.

How to Play

Select the size of your bet from the available options either at the bottom of the screen on desktop or from the slider when playing the mobile version. The stake values start at $0.2 and reach $100.

As mentioned, the symbols here form winning combinations in clusters rather than paylines, so whenever you hit at least three identical symbols horizontally or vertically, you get a win. The symbols from the winning combination are then replaced by others that are dropped in their places.

The high-paying symbols here – a ringmaster, a knife-thrower, and a clown – pay 10x bet size for five identical symbols and can also mix to form winning clusters, paying 5x bet size for any five symbols. The golden big top is the wild that has the highest fixed jackpot of 50x bet size and replaces all other symbols.

Multiplier Wilds Feature

During the main game, you will notice a multiplier meter to the left of the grid that fills up after consecutive wins. A 3x multiplier fills up one section of the meter, a 4x multiplier – two sections, and when you reach a 5x multiplier, all three sections are filled. The meter then releases one or two multiplier wilds.

Free Spins

Unlike in other grid slots, the free games in Golden Ticket 2 aren’t triggered by filling the meter. Instead, the developers have kept the mechanic from the original release with the letters B – O – N – U – S that need to be revealed on the reels to kick off the free spins.

Once you’ve managed to spell out “BONUS” on one of the reels, you will be able to choose one of three modes for the free spins:

• High-volatility mode with five free spins and 3x multiplier wilds
• Medium-volatility mode with seven free spins and 2x multiplier wilds

During the free spins, you can also trigger a Win Spin by collecting consecutive wins and filling all sections on the meter that will award a 2×2 multiplier wild. If you fill the meter during a Win Spin, the feature is retriggered.

Golden Ticket 2 retains the charm of the original slot but the added features in the base game and the free spins make for a much more dynamic and explosive gameplay. Although it is more dynamic, it is also more volatile and the free spins are harder to trigger than in the original release.
